Car Cassette Player: Two Features
The cassette player for the car audio system is the most basic kind of stereo system that you can have for your car. These are pretty inexpensive considering the way prices have risen for the best audio systems in the market; these come for much cheaper and are quite worth the cost. The cassette player for your car will also have pretty easy functions and controls to operate so that they do not become too difficult to operate while you are driving. However, the features that are offered by these cassette players are pretty basic if you are going to compare them with the more advanced audio players. Typically a decent cassette player with CD changer controls will start in the $100 range. Of course with cassettes being such an old technology you will probably not find many choices now or in the future. You can search for used models if you really need a high quality cassette player.
If you are not yet familiar with the kinds of features that will come along with a cassette player that you are planning to purchase for your car, read on and find out what the most common features are that are available with the majority of cassette players that you will have to choose from for your car.
Reverse for instance; this is a very easy to use and understand feature that every cassette car audio system will be having. This is usually an Auto reverse system which means that the cassette will by itself turn over to the other side and start playing the tracks on that side. This feature has been developed especially for the car audio system as that ensures that while a person is driving he is not too distracted by the need to turn the cassette over. However, this automatic feature means that one side of the cassette will have to reach to the very end before it can be automatically turned to the other side.
Dolby Noise Reduction is another feature that is available with most cassette players for the car. This was of course as the name suggests invented and spread in the market by Dolby itself. However, there are numerous degrees to which the noise reduction can be made; this begins from A and there are three more degrees which are B, C, S. The S degree is the highest level of noise reduction that can be achieved with the cassette players. Of course, the most commonly used degree of the Dolby noise reduction is the Dolby B, and that should actually be quite sufficient for a normal car owner who also has a cassette audio system installed for their car.
There are of course numerous other features that a car cassette player would be consisting of. There are lots of controls to get used to and some even newer features that you will need to get used to such as the dual illumination and the full logistics control unit and the likes. However, you should be careful about the brand of the cassette player that you buy before you make the purchase.

why does my car stereo cassette player have such low volume?
my car plays radio loud and nice, the cassette player doesn't play good now, it's such low volume when i put it max, i don't know what's wrong, i tried putting ipod adapter cassette for it and still low, any help? and it's a nissan sentra.
okay i'm not that stupid, i didnt put it in backwards, it's just that the cassette player plays with super low volume and i want to know how i can fix this, and if not, i want to know how to take the stereo out?
you may have blown something inside the cassette player itself, which would affect your output gain. if your radio itself is low too, then you probably damaged a speaker in your car. otherwise, you might have fried something inside your cassette player. to be honest, theres no way you can get that fixed... its a freakin cassette player. if it bugs you that much, take the whole thing out and put in a new stereo system.
